Why Visual Effects Are Foremost In Learning

Visual Effects has changed many things. Ever wonder why texting on smartphones are so popular vs. “the old fashioned way” of phoning a person? Also, I believe there are two reasons:
1) People want to get to the point.; to be short and sweet and save the time of greeting in a long introduction.
2) Aside from hands-on, most people are visual in their understanding.
Speaking to the latter, this ties well into how people learn. Many people, I have found would rather view than hear. If the majority of people are visual, it goes without saying the training materials should reflect this.
I’ve been pondering over this idea for a while and in a psychological point of view, it makes sense. Consider your training – whether PowerPoint or eLearning – to be more visual with images and animation to point out the primary components of what you are trying to relay. Most audiences really get this as a form of learning. Then incorporate background audio with the specifics and details. The results may impress you.
